Canine Carousel, Herndon
On July 28, 2001, Tiger and
Tiki were on hand to sign books at the Canine Carousel (680 Elden
Street, Herndon, VA, 703-709-8746). While there, Tiki checked
out the fun accessories and stylish clothes for canine companions.
She couldnt make up her mind between a retro-looking Woof,
Woof collar and a purple sparkle one-so she got both! Tiki
and Tigers friend Trouble, who gets her hair done at the
Canine Carousel, selected the pearls. Canine Carousel's owner,
Lil, has years and years of experience grooming dogs. Here we
are with her and her too-cute dog Surprise! (Surprise actually
runs Canine Carousel, but dont tell Lil!) |

Pet Fiesta--A Great
Way to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo!
On May 5, 2001, we were the
grand marshals-see us lead the parade down Market Street to start
the day-of the First Annual Cinco de Mayo Pet Fiesta
and Expo in Reston, VA. We also judged the pet competitions,
which included best dressed pooch, best trick, and most look-alike
animal and human companions. |

|
There was a lot to do besides
sign books-get brushed by the Fairfax County Voc-Ed Animal Technician
class, eat frozen dog ice cream with the Reston Dog Park Coalition
(learn more about dog parks from them at www.restondogs.org).
We tagged along with our videographer friend Abraham (see
photo of Abraham and us), who always makes sure our best sides
are filmed. Highlights of the day aired on Comcast Channel 8.
Proceeds benefited the Fairfax County Animal Shelter. |
